‘Apprentice’s’ Omarosa Gets Job in Trump White House — But What About Those Hillary Tweets Back in 2014?

She lived up to her reputation for combativeness when she was quoted during the presidential campaign saying, “Every critic, every detractor, will have to bow down to President Trump” (see clip below), but now Omarosa Manigault may have to tone it down for her new job doing public outreach in the Trump White House.

USA Today reports that the former “Apprentice” star and Trump loyalist — who is also a former Democrat and former Hillary Clinton supporter — has been given the job of assistant to the president and director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison.

“President Obama’s version is called the Office of Public Engagement, with a job description featuring idealistic verbiage about transparency and inclusion, listening to the public and bringing in new voices for the president to hear,” USA Today notes. “More practically, it’s the office that coordinates public speaking engagements for members of the administration and the executive office of the president.”

Mediaite notes that as recently as 2015, Omarosa — who goes mainly by a single name — was fully on board the Hillary train. Omarosa sent out a tweet on Nov. 17, 2014 saying: “! I’m Ready for Hillary. Are you? #Hillary2016 – RT and ask your friends to join @readyforhillary: http://bit.ly/1zNt06nk”

Another tweet by Omarosa, sent out on April 12, 2015, included a “Run Hillary Run!” graphic and read: “So proud to know her and support her! Run Hillary Run! @HillaryClinton #HisStoryisNowHerStory! @Omarosa.”

Omarosa, 42, got attention for her “bow down” quote back in September, when she warned Trump’s detractors: “It is the ultimate revenge to become the most powerful man in the universe.’

  1. Somebody needs to tell Donald this isn’t a reality show…

  2. If being President is not reality, what is? With all of the negative press and threats from Congress to block everything he tries to do, it may prove helpful to have some Hillary supporters on his staff helping with his outreach. Trump isn’t as right wing as the press and democrats want to make him out to be and that is why he was successful in middle America. Most of the country forms a circle in the middle. Some lean a little left and a little right depending on the issue.
