Entertainment business heavyweight and former DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg has raised almost $600 million for his new startup investment fund, WndrCo LLC, The New York Post reports, citing a Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Thursday.
The fund will reportedly be seeking acquisitions in digital media and tech.
“The filings suggest that two executives will be joining Katzenberg in his latest venture — Ann Daly, the former president at his former company, DreamWorks Animation, and Sujay Jaswa, who was a chief financial officer at Dropbox,” The Post reports. “Jaswa is also a former senior adviser to JPMorgan Chase and joined Katzenberg in August, according to his LinkedIn page.”
The Post report adds: “The filing suggests the fund won’t accept outside investments of less than $25 million. The filing also says the firm has already booked $591.5 million in the fund.”
