Megyn Kelly, who became one of the stars of the Fox News Channel as host of “The Kelly File,” is leaving the cable channel for a job with NBC.

NBC News announced today that Kelly will anchor a new one-hour daytime news program that she will develop with NBC News, along with a prime-time newsmagazine. Details about both programs will be announced in the coming months.

Andrew Lack, chairman of the NBCUniversal News Group, made the announcement.

“Megyn is an exceptional journalist and news anchor, who has had an extraordinary career” Lack said. “She’s demonstrated tremendous skill and poise, and we’re lucky to have her.”

Kelly’s final show on FNC has reportedly been booked for Jan. 6.

  1. ANYONE WHO GOES TO NBC IS MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE! THEY ARE THE NOBODY CARES NETWOK!!!!

  2. Patricia Elliot did not write or sign this please remove immediately

  3. I predict a slow fading of the bright light Kelly once was. The moment she became the story her journalistic integrity vanished and hasn’t been seen since. Come to think about it, she might be the perfect fit at NBC!
