Morning Show Host Suspended Over Comment About Trump Adviser Kellyanne Conway

A local Fox station suspended a morning show host for a comment made in reference to Kellyanne Conway, who holds the title of Counselor to the President in the new Trump administration.

Reuters reports that Fox 29 in Philadelphia — Fox-owned WTXF-TV — suspended “Good Day Philadelphia’s” Mike Jerrick for an indefinite period.

Jerrick “was discussing Conway’s use of the term ‘alternative facts’ on Tuesday with co-host Alex Holley and guests when he said the Trump aide was ‘good at bullshit,'” Reuters reports. “The group laughed at the remark before Holley apologized to the show’s audience.”

Fox Television Stations issued a statement indicating it had addressed the incident, but offering few details. The statement said: “This is not in line with Fox Television Stations guidelines.”

Reuters adds: “Jerrick, who has also hosted the nationally syndicated Fox talk show ‘The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet,’ wrote on Instagram late on Wednesday: ‘Night off. Why not. Always a good fight.’

“The post was followed by more than 150 comments, some from people who said they would boycott Fox until Jerrick’s return.”

  1. Give Mike a raise

  2. What’s the problem? He gave KellyAnne a compliment… he said she was GOOD at bullshit, not BAD at it.

Thanks Mike for highlighting her talents

  3. He is probably toast. There is little to no tolerance for that kind of behavior, especially on a Fox Television Affiliate in a Pro-Trump era. It is getting ridiculous. People have completely lost their minds! LOL…

  4. In President Trumps era? We can thank President Obamas era for this one. Sensitive, over dramatic people that cannot hear the word bullshit? They gave him a platform let him speak. I support her. I support him. I support President Trump and I suggest all of you do to or we will be bowing to the EAST. Alternative facts are nothing more than another opinion. Get on with it.

  5. He was completely out of line! If you’re going to make a comment be specific don’t make General accusations that could harm someone’s reputation

  6. He was disrespectful and needs instructions on how to conduct himself in broadcast conversation.
