Actress Katey Sagal, who has been a fixture on television with her acclaimed roles on “Married With Children,” “Sons of Anarchy” and other programs, revealed in her new memoir that she had a 15-year addiction to diet pills, cocaine and alcohol, The New York Post’s Page Six reports.
Sagal’s book, “Grace Notes: My Recollections,” comes out Tuesday. In it she says growing up in L.A. played a role in steering her toward drugs.
“When I was 12, we lived on the same block as Judy Garland,” Sagal writes. “Her daughter Lorna Luft and I became neighborhood buddies. Lorna’s mom had a lot of pills on her bedside table and slept past noon just like my mom. We hung tight. And, of course, I thought everyone’s mom took a lot of pills.”
