CNN is reporting that representatives for Bill O’Reilly and Fox News have begun talking about an exit from the network for its biggest star. Officially, O’Reilly is due back on “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday, and sources in the O’Reilly camp continue to deny that he’s on the way out.
“A well-placed source said Tuesday afternoon that representatives for Fox and O’Reilly have begun talking about an exit,” CNN reports, adding: “Even one person close to O’Reilly … said he will probably not be back on ‘The O’Reilly Factor.'”
The report also notes: “Fox News will no longer even respond to questions about whether Bill O’Reilly will return to his show.”
“The fact that none of these sources were willing to go on the record speaks to the delicate maneuvering underway,” CNN notes. “The network’s parent company, 21st Century Fox, will hold a board meeting on Thursday, a spokeswoman told CNNMoney. One of the sources said O’Reilly will be a primary topic.”
The report adds: “The Murdochs, the men who control 21st Century Fox, are pointedly not commenting on any of this. But conversations inside Fox have already turned to possible O’Reilly successors.”

You make some good points, Leeneybelle. But just to make sure I’m clear on what you’re saying, let me sum up a few of your main points:
1. First of all, none of this happened — O’Reilly did not harass anyone and they’re all just falsely accusing him.
2. Secondly, somehow you are privileged to inside knowledge of that fact, which you are generously sharing with us even though to the rest of the world your premise would be considered to be pure unsubstantiated conjecture (i.e., bullshit).
3. We are all supposed to believe that what you say is true, simply because you have chosen to express it here, and despite that you have zero credibility.
4. Even though your comment is filled with stuff about how great Bill O’Reilly is, your opinion should be presumed to be totally unbiased.
I would be inclined not to believe what you say, due to all the reasons above along with just common sense, but since you chose to type in your entire comment in ALL CAPS, it must be true.
It is gratifying to know that conservative commenters on TV Week continually show themselves to be laughable idiots. People like “Leeneybelle” deeply resent it when people laugh at them and make fun of them — and yet, over and over, they prove themselves eminently worthy of disrespect and ridicule.
