This week’s episode of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” marks the show’s 42nd season finale — and also marks the end of a nine-year run on the sketch show for Bobby Moynihan.

Moynihan will be starring in the new comedy series “Me, Myself & I,” which was picked up this week by CBS.

“The single-cam show sounds ambitious: It’s about one man at three points in his life,” Matthew Gilbert writes in The Boston Globe. “Moynihan is the 40-year-old present-tense version, John Larroquette is the future 65-year-old version, and Jack Dylan Grazer is the past-tense kid version.”

Other than Kenan Thompson, who has been on “SNL” for 14 seasons, Moynihan is the most senior member of the current cast. Gilbert notes that his absence will be felt.

“Moynihan never became a star cast member, like Kristen Wiig or Kate McKinnon, but he was always dependable and provided strong support,” Gilbert writes. “He also developed a few distinctive characters, such as Drunk Uncle on ‘Weekend Update,’ and a number of his impressions — of Snooki, Chris Christie, Kim Jong-un, Guy Fieri — were memorable.”

Here’s Moynihan’s Drunk Uncle …
