Showtime Issuing Full Refunds to Some Customers Who Bought the Mayweather-McGregor Fight

Showtime said it will issue full refunds for Saturday’s Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor fight to customers who were unable to watch it, after it was revealed that a number of technical glitches interfered with viewing for some of those who shelled out the $99.99 HD pay-per-view fee, Variety reports.

The report quotes Chris DeBlasio, senior VP of communications for Showtime Sports, saying: “We have received very limited number of complaints overall. We are reviewing all of them carefully and will respond to them accordingly.”

Showtime is handling refunds for its own direct-to-consumer services, the report notes, adding: “If customers bought the PPV event through another distributor, such as UFC’s Fight Pass or through a cable or satellite TV operator, those consumers must request a refund directly from that provider.”

  1. They should have given refunds to everyone who paid for the Pacquiao show, who were ripped off when Pacquiao wasn’t even healthy but we were charged for the show.
