Hillary Clinton Books First Talk Show Since Election

Hillary Clinton will make her first talk show appearance since losing the presidential election, with a live guest spot scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 13, on ABC’s “The View,” the network announced Thursday.

“The former Secretary of State, Senator and First Lady joins the co-hosts at the Hot Topics table in one of her first interviews discussing her new memoir of the 2016 presidential election, ‘What Happened,'” the announcement notes.

The appearance will mark Clinton’s seventh time on “The View.” with her most recent appearances coming on May 16, 2014, for Barbara Walters’ farewell show and on April 5, 2016, during the presidential campaign.

ABC released the following guest list for the week of Sept. 11-15 on “The View”:

Monday, September 11 — Day of Hot Topics; “View Your Deal” with hottest items at affordable prices

Tuesday, September 12 — Maria Sharapova (author, “Unstoppable: My Life So Far”)

Wednesday, September 13 — Former presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton (author, “What Happened”)

Thursday, September 14 — 25th Anniversary of “Sister Act” with an epic surprise reunion

Friday, September 15 — James Franco & Maggie Gyllenhaal (“The Deuce”)

Clinton will also be hitting the late-night circuit, with CBS announcing Thursday that she will do a guest spot on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
