ABC News has made a high-profile hire to work both as a co-host on “The View” and as a contributor to other ABC News programming. The network announced today that it has brought aboard Meghan McCain.

McCain, the daughter of Sen. John McCain of Arizona, made a widely publicized exit from Fox News last month, after holding down one of the co-host’s chairs on the cable channel’s afternoon program “Outnumbered.”

“The View” introduced Meghan McCain as its new co-host this morning — you can watch the clip below. Whoopi Goldberg noted in here introduction that McCain is a “strong voice for young conservatives.”

  1. Yawn

  2. I watched a little this morning. The deck is heavily stacked against McCain and as always, it’s still Whoopi’s view or be cutoff mid-sentence. I liked the show better when the moderator functioned as a moderator and was just one of the views around the table. Good luck Meghan.

  3. She’s a self-important hack, should fit right in with the disgusting bimbos.

  4. They picked the wrong person. I think she is full of herself and comes off as though she is better than anyone else. She seems mad all the time. Kick her to the road. Sorry!
