This Sunday’s American Music Awards ceremony, to be televised by ABC, will be hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, one of the stars of ABC’s “black-ish.”

Ross has a personal stake in the ceremony — her mother is Diana Ross, who will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

“I am thrilled to host this special night, which honors some of the greatest musical talents in our industry,” said Tracee Ellis Ross. “And I’m especially thrilled to host this year when my mother is receiving the American Music Award for Lifetime Achievement.”

The lineup of performers for the ceremony includes Kelly Clarkson, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and Niall Horan, with Christina Aguilera to perform a tribute to “The Bodyguard” soundtrack in honor of its 25th anniversary.
