The NBCUniversal-owned cable channel E! has wrapped up its investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct that were made against the popular TV host Ryan Seacrest by a former stylist who worked at E! News with Seacrest. The channel concluded that there was “insufficient evidence to support the claims.”

The details of the alleged incident, which was said to have taken place about 10 years ago, were never revealed. Seacrest got out in front of the story with a statement released in November in which he said, “I dispute these reckless allegations and I plan to cooperate with any corporate inquiries that may result.”

Today’s statement from E! says: “E! has now concluded the investigation into allegations regarding Ryan Seacrest. The investigation, conducted by outside counsel, found insufficient evidence to support the claims against Seacrest and therefore could not be substantiated. E! is committed to providing a safe working environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.”
