A new addition to the daytime talk landscape promises that “unfiltered, uncensored and unexpected” will be the norm on the show. “The Raw Word,” hosted by culture critic and New York Times bestselling author Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, premieres March 5.

The syndicated talk show will initially have a four-week test run on selected Sinclair affiliates.

“Beginning March 5th, daytime will get a dose of no-holds-barred honesty, energy and witty commentary courtesy of one of the country’s most outspoken cultural voices, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson,” Final Level Productions says in an announcement for the show. “Irreverent and witty at its core, ‘The Raw Word,’ executive produced by Andre Jetmir, Ice-T and co-executive produced by Dyson, is a daily talk show that specializes in a new kind of narrative — where the ordinary and the extraordinary get equal billing and where the conversation focuses squarely on what we all have in common vs. pointing to our differences.”

Ice-T will reportedly guest host a number of episodes of the show, which is taped at the CBS Studio Center and co-hosted by “Real Housewives'” Claudia Jordan and Dr. Dan Ratner.
