The No. 1 original movie of the year 2018 to date across key demos, according to an announcement from Lifetime, is its feature “Faith Under Fire: The Antoinette Tuff Story,” which premiered Jan. 27.
The Lifetime Original ranks No. 1 in Adults 25-54 (993,000), Adults 18-49 (805,000) and Women 18-49 (560,000) in Live+3, the network announced, citing Nielsen Media Research data.
“Lifetime currently has the top 2 original movies on cable for 2018 to date with Adults 18-49 with ‘Faith Under Fire’ and ‘Cocaine Godmother’ starring Catherine Zeta-Jones,” the channel noted.
“Faith Under Fire” stars Toni Braxton as a Georgia mom who is credited with saving hundreds of lives by convincing a gunman who stormed an elementary school in 2013 to surrender. The movie dominated Saturday night in women 25-54 (704,000), ranking as the No. 1 program across all of cable in the demo, and delivered 2.4 million total viewers in Live+3. Since its premiere, “Faith Under Fire” and the special “Bio Presents: Antoinette Tuff Story” have reached more than 8.0 million total viewers, the network noted.
