Elton John Storms Off the Stage, Rips Fans

Thursday night apparently wasn’t alright for veteran rocker and piano maestro Elton John to play “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting,” because it led to a bit of a meltdown during his performance last night in Las Vegas.

“Typically, he lets fans gather around his grand piano while he plays it, but a couple of ’em got way too close for Elton’s comfort,” TMZ reports. “After an expletive or two — off mic, of course, he’s a pro — EJ stormed offstage.”

The website notes that Elton also had a problem during the same song a couple of weeks ago, when some beads came flying at him and smacked him in the face.

On Thursday night, “The crowd was pretty sure the show was over, but Elton came back to let ’em know there would be no more fan interaction,” TMZ reports. “He blurted out, ‘You f**ked it up!’ … and then played ‘Circle of Life.'”
