As many of you will fondly recall when you look at the video clip, below, didn’t we love it when we saw Woody Allen’s “Sleeper” in the early 1970s and his character wakes up in the future to learn that hot fudge sundaes are actually high in nutritional value.

So here we are, just about on the eve of the most wonderful chocolate holiday of the year–Valentine’s Day–and a study has just come out that says after reviewing previous data, chocolate, especially dark chocolate, may help in preventing strokes!

According to Dr. Gustavo Saposnik, who is the director of the Stroke Research Unit at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada, he found two studies that support his conclusion.

In an article about this in Business Week, it says that in one study “the stroke rate was 22 percent lower in people who ate chocolate once a week, and [another study] reported that death from stroke was 46 percent lower in those who ate 50 grams of chocolate once a week.”
