Charlie Sheen raised the stakes today in the war between himself and “Two and a Half Men” producer Warner Bros. and show creator Chuck Lorre, filing a lawsuit demanding more than $100 million in damages, TMZ.com reported.

The suit accuses Warner Bros. and Lorre of removing Sheen unjustly from the show and includes a demand for damages on behalf of the show’s cast and crew for lost income due to the decision to shut down the show. The suit is for $100 million plus punitive damages, the story reports.

“In a scathing preamble, legal pit bull Marty Singer writes in the lawsuit, ‘Chuck Lorre, one of the richest men in television who is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, believes himself to be so wealthy and powerful that he can unilaterally decide to take money away from the dedicated cast and crew of the popular television series, “Two and a Half Men,” in order to serve his own ego and self-interest, and make the star of the series the scapegoat for Lorre’s own conduct,’" TMZ reports.

The suit says the decision to cancel production of the show was based on "Warner Bros. capitulating to Lorre’s egotistical desire to punish Mr. Sheen,” the story says.

The lawsuit comes just days after Warner Bros. fired Sheen from the show, citing his alleged drug use and other allegedly wild behavior along with his negative comments about Lorre and Warner Bros. execs.

“The suit points out Warner Bros. renegotiated Charlie’s contract when he was facing felony charges in Aspen–charges Warner Bros. thought would land Charlie in jail,” TMZ reports. “Singer claims they fired Charlie when he was sick, and that’s a violation of state and federal law.”

  1. Now is the time for the cast and crew of “Two and a Half Men” to sue Charlie Sheen for the money they lost due to his actions. This might help bring him to realize that it was his behavior, and only his behavior, that caused the show to be canceled. He screwed the cast but wants them to feel it was Warner’s fault and he is the good guy. CAST AND CREW OF “TWO AND A HALF MEN”, SUE CHARLIE SHEEN, NOW.

  2. Can’t we all just be friends? Not likely – there is so much poison in the water it would be a miracle if Charlie Sheen could ever work with Warner’s, CBS, Lorre and the crew and fellow actors ever again. Hopefully Charlie makes it to trial and he’s put on the stand – like to see that televised live! Its reasonable to think his lawyer told him to knock off the public antics. Things like being a California Messiah and the ’tiger’ blood consumption might be a little too much for the judge and jury – even in LA. Bets are Warner Brothers, Lorre and CBS have this one in the bag. As to the fellow actors and crew on the show, they should distance themselves from this fracas – suing for himself as well the crew and fellow actors is playing the sympathy card – it isn’t going to work – the stars and crew at Two & A Half Men most likely realize Charlie is just using them to bolster his case.

  3. He might have a case based upon the ADA laws that require an employer not to fire him based upon his disease of addition , they should have let the 8 episodes get shot and paid him. They knew he was nuts when they hired him.
