Sheen Fired From ‘Two and a Half Men’ for ‘Moral Turpitude’; Actor’s Angry Reply

In a move that drew an immediate public response from Charlie Sheen, Warner Bros. announced Monday that it has fired the actor for what the company called “moral turpitude,” TMZ.com reported.

The company, which produces Sheen’s CBS hit “Two and a Half Men,” reportedly sent an 11-page letter to Sheen’s lawyer that said in part, “Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill."

Sheen responded with the following statement, according to TMZ.com:

"This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."

The letter from Warner Bros. reportedly cites Sheen’s trashing of a room in New York’s Plaza Hotel, along with alleged cocaine binges and failure to perform on the set due to drug fatigue, the story says.

The letter cites a clause in Sheen’s contract that reportedly gives the company the right to fire a performer who is guilty of "a felony offense involving moral turpitude," according to the story.

The firing presumably ends Sheen’s involvement with “Two and a Half Men,” and comes the same day that earlier rumors circulated that indicated the actor might be negotiating behind the scenes to return to the show. The rumors essentially had Sheen staying and show creator Chuck Lorre–the main target of recent tirades by Sheen–exiting the show.

Lorre apparently has the backing of Warner Bros., which listed Sheen’s verbal attacks on Lorre among the reasons for the actor’s dismissal, according to the story.

The studio also reportedly is reserving its right to take legal action against the actor.

  1. well, actors are a dime a dozen, but someone who can create a hit show, on broadcast tv no less …
    i’m just sayin’

  2. Good riddance..

  3. Agree, also time to clean up “American Culture” for our young to follow.

  4. Gee…You develope a character who is a womanizer, hangs around with prostitutes, a drug user, and a drunk, but who is very talented and wealthy. You don’t give a @#$^&^ what you are exposing the viewers to as long as your making big money. Then you get an actor to play the part who just happens to be all of the above and fits the character perfectly and you fire him for moral turpitude.
    You gotta love it.

  5. There is a difference between acting and real life. Somehow, Charlie managed to even cross Hollywood’s line of what is acceptable. I watched Charlie’s performance of Ustream, and I have to tell you it was difficult to watch – I could see a real meltdown. Was this the sharp and sophisticated comic actor I was used to seeing? What I saw was frightening spiral behavior. I think WB and CBS might have turned their heads to his motel room tirade – but attacking both WB and CBS – he hurt the value of his own starring vehicle, as well ‘Two & A Half Men’s’ syndication values. Charlie was making a ton of money – yet he allowed any problems he was having affect his pubic life. He also chomped down on the hand that fed him. Problem is, Charlie may be too far gone to rescue – and if he’s giving ‘gobs’ of money to his ‘goddesses’ and for purchases of alleged ‘medications’ that are not at the local pharmacy, he isn’t going to be rich for too long. Charlie should read the notes of Rhett Butler, and the late John Belushi. They too thought they could hold it all together. The other problem is what major movie studio would want to touch him (other than HD-Net) after his erratic actions, and would other actors want to even work with him. Charlie is box office…but only if he cleans up his act before its too late.

  7. Charlie Sheen is far from broke…..He was getting like $800 thousand per episode or something like that and that show is in heavy syndication. He’s still gonna continue to get a check to get high with regardless….. What a waste!

  8. Years of drugs has fried him. He wants his kids back yet he now travels with and swings a machete. Total loon. Get the help you need.

  9. Must be really hard getting fired. There is a new events show Muslim Marriage Events
