Mark Cuban Breaks Silence After Mavericks Win NBA Title; Highlights Include Live S-Word, Weird Trophy Comment

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was uncharacteristically quiet throughout the NBA Finals, but he seems to be making up for lost time now that the series is over.

Soon after his team knocked out the Miami Heat in Sunday’s Game 6 to clinch the championship, Cuban let slip the S-word on live TV during a postgame interview on ESPN, USA Today reported. “Our fans just pumped the s–t out of the Miami fans,” said the Dallas owner.

A few hours later, he posted an admittedly quirky comment on his Twitter account: “This will sound weird. Im laying in bed. with the trophy next me.”

Cuban, who also owns the TV channel HDNet, had not updated his blog as of this morning to comment on the Mavericks’ championship. The entry at the top of his blog page, posted April 12, was “How Netflix is Hurting YouTube,” a good read about where media is headed from one of the industry’s key players.
