A "Saturday Night Live" skit about Tim Tebow that featured a Jesus character telling the outspoken Christian football player to "take it down a notch" was slammed by televangelist Pat Robertson reports the Los Angeles Times’ Show Tracker blog.
Robertson decried the skit as exhibiting "anti-Christian bigotry," adding, "If this had been a Muslim country and they had done that and had Muhammad doing that stuff, you would have found bombs being thrown off and bodies on the street,” according to the story.
His comments were made on the Christian Broadcast Network, where he has appeared for decades, the piece adds. To see a video of Robertson’s comments, click here.
The "SNL" skit starred Jason Sudeikis as Jesus, along with Andy Samberg and Taran Killem, and was set in the Broncos’ locker room. To see the clip, click here.
