Melissa Grego has joined TelevisionWeek as News Editor, reporting to Editor Alex Ben Block.
“Melissa is an extremely skilled reporter and editor with a real connection to the television industry,” Mr. Block said. “She is a tremendous addition to our editorial team. She will play a key leadership role, working closely with all of our reporters, editors and correspondents.”
Ms. Grego had covered the television business since April 2000 for Daily Variety and weekly Variety. Before that she covered syndicated television at Broadcasting & Cable and was at the Hollywood Reporter, Digital Home Entertainment magazine and U. The National College Magazine.
A Detroit native and a University of Michigan graduate, Ms. Grego is also a special correspondent for the TV show Extra. In addition, she has written for a number of magazines and contributed commentary for CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and others.
