Academy voters aren’t the only ones interested in “Sex and the City,” which earned 13 Emmy nominations last week. Sources said that talks are heating up between distributor Warner Brothers. and multiple media outlets looking to carry repeats of the repurposed HBO series. Among the station groups said to be interested is Tribune, which features a prominent off-net programming block. However, sources said no deal is in place yet. Meanwhile, insiders also said Turner Broadcasting Systems stations are also interested in carrying the series, possibly on TNT or TBS, although “there are other options which could be pursued,” according to an executive close to the show. A Warner spokesman had no comment on the status of sales on the off-cable show.
