Court TV’s Anchor’s Away

Back in May, Court TV celebrated changes to its showbiz and crime program “Hollywood at Large.” It moved to prime time, got a new producer and hired a new anchor, Karen Duffy, formerly a hip MTV VJ, Revlon model and survivor of the rare, incurable nerve disease sarcoidosis. But as often happens with Hollywood romances, this relationship didn’t last long. Days before last week’s prime-time launch, the ballyhooed “Duff” was out of the anchor chair. A spokesperson for the network said the change was a “mutual decision” and that Ms. Duffy will continue as a correspondent. Ms. Duffy had other commitments, including a new baby who arrived just weeks after her Court TV assignment began, the spokesperson added. Current Court TV anchor Amanda Grove will replace Ms. Duffy for now. Meanwhile, the show itself was bumped from its previously announced 8 p.m. time slot to 8:30 p.m. Upgraded to 8 p.m. was “Hollywood Justice,” which is produced by the network’s documentary unit.
