TelevisionWeek is trawling video-sharing Web sites to find the hottest clips spreading on the Internet.

The setup: What do you get when you mix blue eye shadow, braided headbands and slouchy legwarmers? A 1980s low-impact workout video. Sporting super springy curls, workout leader Desiree takes friends through a low-impact workout that mocks all those bad exercise videos in the 1980s, with tips like working out your arms by holding either one-pound weights, or pencils, or even air.

The source: NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” produced “Body Fusion” as part of its SNL Digital Short series. The segment appeared on the Feb. 3 show, which was hosted by Drew Barrymore, who doubles as Desiree. NBC then posted the video on YouTube and NBC.com the following day.

The hits:“Body Fusion” is unlikely to reach “Dick in a Box” viewership levels. However, the video had generated more than 370,000 views on YouTube by Feb. 8 and is an admirable sequel.
