NBC Universal Television Stations and NBCU’s iVillage on Tuesday confirmed that “iVillage Live” will relaunch Sept. 17 out of Chicago as “In the Loop With iVillage Live,” as reported by TelevisionWeek. Co-hosts will be actress-comedian Kim Coles, original “The Apprentice” winner Bill Rancic and “Apprentice” contestant Ereka Vetrini.
“In the Loop” will air at noon Eastern and Pacific times. It is being produced live daily in front of a studio audience at NBC-owned WMAQ-TV by NBC News’ Peacock Productions, under the direction of Peacock Productions’ Senior VP Sharon Scott and Executive Producer Marlaine Selip.
“We’re thrilled to be such an important part of a show that supports and celebrates women in their daily lives,” said Deborah Fine, president, NBCU’s iVillage Properties. “‘In the Loop’ brings our robust, vibrant online community to women across the nation who can now join the iVillage conversation on another platform.”
“We believe in the concept of an interactive daytime show, and we’re excited to bring that idea back for a second season,” said John Wallace, president, NBC owned-and-operated television stations. “We’re equally excited to have Peacock Productions on our team for ‘In the Loop with iVillage.’ Their depth and expertise combined with the new location, hosts and direction of the program will result in a better value for our clients, a better program for the stations and a better experience for our viewers and online users.”
In addition to featuring more celebrity guests than in its first season from Orlando, Fla., “In the Loop” will feature a variety of iVillage contributors joining the discussion of subjects, including entertainment news and current events, fashion and lifestyle, parenting and pregnancy and health and well-being.
The show also will feature an extensive interactive component, allowing viewers to chat live, vote in polls and delve deeper into subjects covered on that day’s program.
The show will continue to work with sponsors to offer relevant and seamless branded integration opportunities, with the ultimate goal of driving viewers online for additional details about products showcased.
“While adding a new relevance but keeping the same ‘iVillage’ spirit, our focus will be on making this a show women will not want to miss,” said Ms. Scott.

  1. Do you take delight in celebrity chit chat? Dislike it? Will you take very long lunches from employment when you are aware that the most up to date issue of People will hit the newstands? I waiting to see how many men and women actually find celeb gossip exciting, and just how many for instance see the obsession about it plain silly.

  2. Could not help but think that there are more important things toward which we should be directing our interest as well as our means. How many newspaper pages are abused with full-color pictures of numerous super stars, as well as how much bandwidth is destroyed daily by incessant ramblings of hollywood groupies?
