Stinchcomb to Exit Discovery Communications as Emerging Networks Group Revamps

As part of a reorganization of Discovery Communications’ emerging networks group, 16-year veteran Client Stinchcomb announced today that he will step down this week from his current post as executive VP and general manager for Discovery HD Theater and Turbo Media.
Discovery said it will integrate Discovery HD Theater and Turbo Media into the emerging networks group, led by Clark Bunting.
Mr. Stinchcomb started at Discovery in 1992 in affiliate sales and marketing and was tapped to launch Discovery HD Theater in 2003.
He said he plans to start a new type of global media company based in the Washington, D.C., area in February.
