MSNBC Host Slowed by Brain Tumor

Jan 23, 2013  •  Post A Comment

One of the regular hosts in MSNBC’s lineup revealed that health problems related to a brain tumor kept him out of his regular spot Friday. The Huffington Post reports that Martin Bashir said over the weekend that the tumor was th reason he missed his stint on the show.

“In 2008, Bashir was discovered to have a small growth in his pituitary gland,” the story reports. “He still has it, though it appears to be under control.”

Asked by Fishbowl DC about his absence from the show, Bashir said: "I have a brain tumor. It’s fine but it causes a problem from time to time."

The report adds: “When the tumor was discovered in 2008, doctors advised that ‘no immediate action be taken,’ and planned to monitor the situation from month to month.”

  2. Ah, yeas, the compassionate conservatives are displaying their well-known love for humanity. I’d like to see YOU work as much of a job every day with f*****g BRAIN TUMOR. I’ve never wished one on anybody but you’re close.

  3. Foooweeee to you both. No matter what side of the fence you go on, incidentally I am on the conservative… you don’t wish someone bad.. period!
As for the left right issue, you know “aka” probably would have done the same thing, like allot of leftist did. For example, Wanda Sykes wanting Rush Limbaugh to die. If you really want leftist socialism, be multicultural. Not pretend-left, to get what you want, for selfish reasons. that isn’t socialism.
I’m not hating, just pointing out that this is a human and you both need to stop arguing about things, while considering what sensible Americans think of you both for making fools out of yourselves! Where is your humanity??? That out-beats left or right politics and beliefs.
While I may not agree with Martin’s network, or have seen him… I wish him well and hope he doesn’t get worse… but can get better. I know dealing with disability typed issues is hard. My thoughts are with you Martin.
