Detective Drama May Be Headed to Cable After ABC Passes

May 10, 2013  •  Post A Comment

ABC has passed on the drama pilot "Murder in Manhattan," which stars Annie Potts and Bridget Regan as a mother and daughter who work together as amateur detectives, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

But the pilot will be shopped to cable networks through ABC Studios’ lower-cost programming unit, the story notes. That path worked for "Devious Maids," which ABC Studios sold to Lifetime after ABC passed it over.

"Murder in Manhattan" is from writer/executive producer Maria Maggenti of "90210."
