The National Association of Television Program Executives nominated co-chairman Emerson Coleman, vice president of programming for Hearst-Argyle Television Inc., for a second term in 2007. Roma Khanna, senior vice president of content at CHUM Television, was nominated to replace current co-chair Stephen J. Davis, who has completed his term.

Mr. Davis will serve on NATPE’s executive committee this year, the association said at its annual conference Monday.

All nominations require formal ratification from NATPE’s voting membership during NATPE’s annual business meeting on Thursday.

“NATPE is all about preparing for and succeeding in the future and it gives me great satisfaction to welcome my co-chair Roma Khanna and this new class of board members to our association,” said Mr. Coleman. “NATPE is stronger with their involvement and I look forward to a very exciting year ahead.”

“There has never been a more exciting or challenging time to be in the content business and I’m honored to serve along with Emerson as co-chair of NATPE,” Ms. Khanna said. “The association is dedicated to helping its membership stay ahead of the curve in our rapidly changing landscape and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of NATPE’s mission.”

The nominees for the 2007 NATPE board include Kevin Beggs, president of programming and production, Lionsgate Television; Leslie Chesloff, SVP, planning, scheduling and acquisitions, Lifetime Entertainment; Michael Davies, president & CEO, Embassy Row; John Ferriter, SVP worldwide head of nonscripted television, William Morris Agency; Patricia Karpas, VP and general manager of AOL Television Ventures, America Online – AOL Television; Jim Packer, president of worldwide TV distribution at Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios; Doug Scott, executive director of branded content and entertainment at Ogilvy Mather Worldwide; and Donna Speciale, president of investment and activation at MediaVest Worldwide.

“I’m delighted with this slate of nominees who, along with our returning board members and executive committee, will work together to help NATPE continue to grow and evolve,” said Rick Feldman, president of NATPE.
