NBC Orders Legal Pilot 'Rex Is Not Your Lawyer' THR

The comedic drama “Rex Is Not Your Lawyer” is getting another shot at NBC, which gave the legal series a pilot order, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The project about a lawyer with panic attacks from Universal Media Studios and BermanBraun was first sold to NBC in 2007 but it got knocked out by the writer’s strike, and later, NBC executives decided to pass. With new programming executives in place at NBC, and Barry Schindel from “Law and Order” on board as showrunner, the network reconsidered.
