‘Laugh-In’ Poet Henry Gibson Dies at Age 73 Variety

“Laugh-In” poet and flower child Henry Gibson, who more recently appeared as Judge Clark Brown on "Boston Legal” and was the voice of newspaperman Bob Jenkins on "King of the Hill," died Monday of cancer, Variety reports.

He was 73.

In the 1960s, Gibson appeared on “The Tonight Show” and "The Joey Bishop Show,” as well as making guest appearances on "The Beverly Hillbillies," "My Favorite Martian," "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "Bewitched," before joining "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In." His characters included a priest, as well as the flower-clutching poet for whom he was best known.
