Oprah’s OWN Plans Doc Showcase Variety

Oprah Winfrey's upcoming cable network OWN is teaming up with documentary distributor Roco Prods. for a monthly documentary showcase on the network, Variety reports.

Theatrical screenings nationwide will accompany the broadcast of some of the titles.

"There is a wide-ranging audience hungry for access to profound documentaries of substance and originality," Roco founder and managing director Annie Roney said.
