Conan Has Gone Nuts NY Times

Conan O'Brien announced to the world yesterday that “Today I interviewed a squirrel in my backyard and then threw to commercial. Somebody help me.”

The significance of this is the method O'Brien used to make this pronouncement: he tweeted it.

With time on his hands, the unemployed former “Tonight Show” host has joined Twitter, the New York Times reports.

And within the first three hours of his first tweet about interviewing the squirrel O'Brien had 100,000 followers on Twitter.

His Twitter bio reads:  “I had a show. Then I had a different show. Now I have a Twitter account.”

Here's a guy who would STILL be on the air (albeit at 12:05, after a half-hour of grown-up comedy) if he had just been able to compromise with reality.

LOL.... I wouldn't worry too much about Conan. I'm sure he'll be back on the air or on cable with another gig soon as his severance agreement with NBC runs out. Can you say FOX or Comedy Central to name just two? Betcha one of those two will be talking to him soon if not already.

If he would just take the money and GO AWAY!!!
And...a word of caution to him..."stay away from squirrels"

Superb comedy writer, puerile comedian. Bottom line.

Classy guy paid his people on the demise of his show and his major buy out/good bye from NBC, BUT...will he pay the squirrel?

If the squirrel provides for a fun interview you can be sure Leno will book him!
