An Oscar winner will play the lead in John Wells’ medical drama pilot for CBS, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

It will be the first regular series role for Sissy Spacek, who will play the leader of a medical team that travels the world to help those in need.

Spacek previously did an arc on HBO’s “Big Love.”
