Report: Palin Show Lands at Discovery

Mar 23, 2010  •  Post A Comment

Discovery Communications has edged out A&E and is expected to land “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” reports James Hibberd’s Live Feed blog on the site of The Hollywood Reporter.

Discovery wouldn’t comment to THR, but an announcement could come in the next few days, THR said. It has not been decided which Discovery network would air the show, which will feature the former Republican presidential VP candidate as travel guide to her state. THR speculates that a Palin-hosted show would fit on family-oriented TLC, though most of the company’s nature shows are not on TLC.

Bidding was said to have run about $1.2 million an episode, which THR notes would be one of the costliest nature series ever. Mark Burnett’s company will produce.

  1. Sara Palin’s new show should be called, ‘Crash & Burn on Arrival!’

  2. McCain gets the agent fee, Palin was a nobody before he brought her to Hollywood.
