What's the Most-Watched TV Show of the Season So Far? (Hint: It's Not Football) Orlando Sentinel
Ten weeks into the fall television season, the battle for most-watched show of the season is about as close as it can be, reports the Orlando Sentinel.
The leader? CBS’s scripted drama “NCIS,” by a hair over ABC’s celebrity dance competition “Dancing With the Stars.”
“NCIS,” which stars Mark Harmon, David McCallum and Michael Weatherly, is averaging 21.30 million viewers to “Dancing’s” 21.26 million for its Monday performance show, the story reports.
Despite consistently strong numbers for NFL telecasts, NBC's Sunday night prime-time game has to settle for third place for now with an average of 20.21 million viewers.
The “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday results show is in fourth place with an average of 18.55 million viewers, ahead of CBS’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” with 17.41 million. The rest of the Top 10 consists mostly of CBS scripted series — “The Mentalist,” “Criminal Minds,” “CSI” and “Two and a Half Men.”
