'30 Rock' Actor Expected to Put His Political Aspirations on Hold--For Now NY Post
Alec Baldwin hinted on CNN's "Parker Spitzer" that he's "very interested" in running for office, but a source close to the actor said his political ambitions are likely to have to wait a few years, reports the New York Post's Page Six.
That's because Baldwin has a contract with "30 Rock" through 2012, after which "he'll keep his options open," according to Baldwin's representative.
The story also notes that there aren't any races in his district that would make sense for him to enter in 2012.
Baldwin’s political aspirations surfaced more than a year ago in an interview with Playboy.
