Actor John Goodman, best known for the sitcom "Roseanne" but also adept at drama, is the latest big-name star to join the cast of a DirecTV show that formerly ran on FX, USA Today reports.
The show is "Damages," which has included in its cast Lily Tomlin, Ted Danson, Martin Short and William Hurt, not to mention the series’ star, Glenn Close. Close has won two Emmys for her role in the show, to go along with her 1995 Emmy for “Serving in Silence: The Margarethe Cammermeyer Story.”
In the new season of "Damages," Goodman has been cast as the CEO of a shadowy military contractor who becomes a defendant in a wrongful death suit over an incident in a war zone. Season Four of "Damages" will air this summer on DirecTV.
