A launch date of Aug. 29 has been set for a new edition of a successful VH1 reality show, People magazine reported. The new version of “Basketball Wives” will be “Basketball Wives LA.”

Joining Gloria Govan are Kimsha Artest, wife of L.A. Laker Ron Artest; Jackie Christie, wife of former L.A. Clipper Doug Christie; and Imani Showalter, ex-fiancee of Stephen Jackson, who plays with the Charlotte Bobcats.

Govan, the fiancee of Lakers reserve Matt Barnes, made her mark in season one, which was set in Miami, feuding with other women on the show. Jackie Christie is reportedly well-known in NBA circles for pulling the strings in her husband’s career.
