With one of its thriving reality shows wrapping up its current season tonight, CBS announced that it has ordered a 14th season of the show, “Big Brother.” Season 14 is set for next summer.

The finale to the current season airs tonight on CBS at 9:30 p.m. ET, following the season premiere of another long-running CBS reality show, "Survivor."

The current run of “Big Brother” has been the show’s highest-rated since 2004, averaging 8.1 million total viewers — a 4% improvement from the previous season — and drawing a 3.1 average rating and 9 share in adults 18-49 — up 11%.
