A photographer is suing CBS after the network featured his photos of the mistress and child of former presidential candidate John Edwards, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood, Esq. blog.

Alan Zanger, a paparazzo, claims the network used the images without license, the story reports.

Zanger filed the copyright infringement claim in New York federal court Friday, claiming that he had an exclusive licensing deal with the New York Post to publish shots of Reille Hunter and her child, the story says. Other media outlets bought a license, including "Inside Edition" and US Weekly magazine, the story adds.

Zanger claims CBS displayed the photos without acquiring a license, which he alleges caused him harm.

A representative for CBS News said it hadn’t seen the lawsuit and couldn’t comment, although the company respects copyright protection.
