Katie Couric has revealed plans for a weekly Web series, set to debut next week, Deadline.com reports. The series, “Katie’s Take,” was announced by ABC News.

Beginning May 1, 2012, "Katie’s Take" will stream on a dedicated Yahoo page, covering topics such as health, nutrition, wellness and parenting. Couric will interview experts in these fields for the show.

In a statement, Couric said, “I am happy to have found a place in the digital world where I can cut through fads and trends. I want to introduce people to serious experts who can hopefully help provide real solutions.”

Yahoo was expected to present "Katie’s Take" along with other Web programming during its NewFront event today.

"Katie," the star’s new syndicated talk show, will launch Sept. 1, 2012.
