Time Warner Cable’s chief executive saw his compensation reduced last year, reports Deadline.com. Glenn Britt’s compensation fell 5.7% as he lost about $1 million in non-equity incentives, the story reports.

Otherwise, Britt’s compensation was steady compared with 2010, the story notes, citing Time Warner Cable’s proxy statement. Britt earned $1.3 million in salary, $3.2 million in stock awards, $4.2 million in option awards, $7.2 million in non-equity incentives and various other compensation, such as $339,779 for use of the company’s aircraft, the story notes.

His total $16.4 million compensation was nearly four times higher than the average for other top Time Warner Cable executives, the piece points out. "Corporate governance watchdogs usually consider that to be lopsided, and a red flag for investors," the article notes.

  1. I think it might be a good idea to reduce the salary of most CEOs. The GM CEO is taking a big hit too. Come on, who needs to make 10 million a year?
