NBC Sports Network has pulled off a coup by landing a popular sports talk show with roots on rivals ESPN and Fox Sports, the Detroit Free Press reports.

"The Dan Patrick Show," a sports-oriented radio/TV simulcast, is moving from Fox Sports Net to NBC Sports Network. Patrick is a former ESPN fixture.

The show originates on the radio from Premiere Radio Networks. The TV version has been produced by DirecTV Sports Group and is also carried by DirecTV’s Audience Network.

Patrick confirmed that the program has been picked up by the NBC Sports Network, according to the report.

Patrick, a Sports Emmy winner, worked for CNN in the 1980s before joining ESPN. He was at ESPN for 18 years, including anchoring “SportsCenter.”

He also currently co-hosts NBC’s "Football Night in America" and is a senior writer for Sports Illustrated.
