Amazon has bought an animated comedy from two actors on the hit CBS sitcom "The Big Bang Theory," Deadline.com reports. The project comes from actors John Ross Bowie and Kevin Sussman, known for their roles as Barry Kripke and comic book store owner Stuart, respectively, on the show.

Called "Dark Minions," the comedy tracks two opinionated misfits who work for "the man" on an evil space station, the story notes. Bowie and Sussman, who became friends while guest starring on "Big Bang Theory," will executive produce.

Amazon has been boosting original comedy and children’s programming development.
