Election Night Produces the Most Re-Tweeted Post of All Time on Twitter

A photo of Barack Obama celebrating his re-election as president of the United States has become the most re-tweeted post in the history of Twitter, BBC News reports.

The photo, initially posted by Obama, shows him hugging first lady Michelle Obama. It was posted along with the words “four more years.”

As of early this morning, the post had been re-tweeted more than a half-million times. As news of the president’s re-election broke last night, 327,452 related tweets were being posted every minute, the story notes.

The photo also reportedly broke records as the most “liked” photo on Facebook. Here it is …
