An actor known for movies including “Terminator 2” has been sentenced to six months in jail. The Huffington Post reports that Edward Furlong received the sentence for violating probation in a domestic violence case from 2010.

“The 35-year-old actor has been the subject of restraining orders filed by both his ex-wife and an ex-girlfriend,” the story notes. “Furlong was charged in January with battery on his ex-girlfriend in a case that remains pending.”

Besides his role as John Connor in 1991’s “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” Furlong is known for “American History X” (1998). On TV he has played a recurring role on “CSI: NY.”

The report adds: “Superior Court Judge Dennis Mulcahy directed officials not to release the actor early or give him credit for time served, but jail records showed Tuesday that he may be released in late May.”

His attorney reportedly did not return a call seeking a comment for the story.
