On a night when not a single show on the big four broadcast networks showed an improvement in the ratings, based on Nielsen overnights for the key 18-49 demo, CBS eked out a narrow win for the night. reports that CBS averaged a 1.7 rating in viewers 18-49 for prime time, edging out Fox (1.6 average), ABC (1.6) and NBC (1.5). CBS was comfortably ahead in total viewers, averaging 9.4 million to ABC’s 6.1 million, NBC’s 5.5 million and Fox’s 3.7 million.

Leading the way for CBS was “The Amazing Race,” which slipped 8% from last week to a 2.2 average in 18-49. “The Mentalist” lost 6% to notch a 1.6 average, while “60 Minutes” held steady with a 1.6 and “The Good Wife” equaled last week’s 1.5.

Fox’s “Family Guy” lost 15% for a 2.3 average in the 18-49 demo, while “The Simpsons” dipped 5% to a 2.1 and “Bob’s Burgers” fell 11% to a 1.6. A 7:30 p.m. installment of “The Cleveland Show” managed only a 1.2, down 25% from the March 3 installment, while “Cleveland’s” 8:30 episode delivered a 1.8, even with a week ago.

ABC saw “Once Upon a Time” equal its series low with a 2.2 in adults 18-49, while “Revenge” lost 10% from last week, averaging a 1.8 rating. The new series “Red Widow” slipped 9% from last week’s premiere to a 1.0.

NBC’s two-hour “Celebrity Apprentice” held steady to last week’s number with a 1.8 in 18-49, while its two-hour “Dateline” remained even with a 1.3.
