An actress known for her performance on HBO’s “The Sopranos” is headed back to FX’s “Sons of Anarchy.” TVLine.com reports that Drea de Matteo will reprise her role as Jax’s ex-wife and the mother of his first child.

Her character, Wendy, will appear in the sixth-season premiere in September, according to EW.com’s Inside TV. A song written by "Sons of Anarchy" creator Kurt Sutter and de Matteo’s longtime partner, Shooter Jennings, will also air during the sixth season, the piece notes.

The actress won an Emmy for her work as the tormented Adriana La Cerva on “The Sopranos” in 2004.
