TNT has renewed a docudrama series. Deadline.com reports that the cable network is bringing back the series "Boston’s Finest," which has been following the heroic work of the Boston Police Department after the Boston Marathon bombing.

The unscripted show, which gives viewers a look at the men and women who work in the city’s police department, has averaged 1.3 million viewers in Live+7, the story notes. That’s in line with TNT’s "The Great Escape," which was canceled after its first season.

The show is executive produced by Donnie Wahlberg, a Boston native, and Seth Jarrett and Julie Insogna-Jarrett.
